While it’s always important to be open and honest with our partners, it seems there are plenty of folks still fibbing in their relationship, and you may be shocked to hear what they are lying about.
According to new survey:
- 32% of Americans admit they’ve lied to their S.O. about the number of sexual partners they’ve had.
- Of those who fibbed, 42% were men and 23% were women.
- 21% lied because they feared being judged.
- 17% lied because their partner’s number was too different than their real number.
- 45% of folks say the number of sexual partners is one of the most uncomfortable conversations you can have with a partner.
- Other uncomfortable conversations include:
- Past sexual experiences (45%)
- Sexual preferences (33%)
- Kinks (32%)
- What they can do better in bed (27%)
- Surprisingly 75% of people haven’t actually shared their number with their partners.
- 48% say it’s because they are worried about how their partners would react to it.
- 61% of men are worried about their partner’s reaction, while only 40% of women are concerned.
- 58% of those in a relationship say they have shared their number with their partner.
- A third did so within six months of dating, while 40% shared within the first three months.
- 25% shared because their partner shared first.
- 20% shared it because their partner asked.
