Just when you thought all the plots to Lifetime movies had been covered, KFC is here to change that. The chicken chain is partnering with Lifetime for a holiday mini-movie. Yes, really. The 15-minute flick stars Mario Lopez as Colonel Harland Sanders himself, but the best part? The title – “A Recipe for Seduction.”
The mini-movie is “full of mystery, suspense, deception, ‘fowl’ play and at the heart of it all … love and fried chicken,” according to a press release. It describes the film as a “steamy holiday love affair,” about a young heiress whose mother handpicks a suitor for her. But a “handsome young chef with a secret fried chicken recipe and a dream” shows up and gets in the way of her plans.
Lopez is the latest in a long line of actors to portray the Colonel, including Rob Lowe and even Reba McEntire. And if you want to see him step into the iconic role, “A Recipe for Seduction” premiers on Lifetime this Sunday, December 13th at noon. It’ll also be available to stream on Lifetime’s website, apps and video-on-demand.
