We all know one of the worst things about traveling is having to wait in line at TSA, but apparently folks are missing travel so much they’d rather do that for hours then spend any more time in their house.

A new Apple Vacations poll finds:

  • 84% of Americans say they really missed traveling this year.
  • 56% say their wanderlust is one of the biggest reasons they are suffering “quarantine fatigue.”
  • 63% of Americans actually say right now spending three hours every day in TSA security would be preferable than being stuck indoors for the rest of the year.
  • When it comes to travel, most people say they’ve gone about 14 months since their last vacation.
  • 70% say it’s the longest they’ve gone without being able to travel.
  • 53% of people miss travel so much they even miss the bad parts about it, including being stuck in security, waiting for their bags and travel delays.

But some people don’t think all is lost.

  • 90% of Americans are excited about possibly being able to travel before the end of the year.
  • Over half say they are planning to travel at least once before 2020 is over.
  • 80% are planning a trip for 2021, with most hoping to travel two times next year.
  • 64% are hoping to travel even more in 2021 than they ever did before.
