Chris Pratt has come under fire after for poking fun at political celebs in a post promoting his Disney movie “Onward.” The animated flick is up for family movie of the year at the People’s Choice Awards, so Pratt took election season as an opportunity to get fans inspired to vote.
Weeks away from the 2020 presidential election, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star jokes on Instagram that the upcoming People’s Choice Awards is “the most consequential vote in the history of mankind times a million infinity.” But not everyone thinks it’s so funny, the comments flooded with critics calling him “insensitive” for making light of the upcoming election for a self-promo.
Just as Pratt takes heat online over his voting joke, his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger is getting political on her own platform. She’s taken to her Instagram story urging her followers to vote, throwing in a roast of Trump’s tweet about returning to the White House after days of treatment for COVID-19.
